The ATC1R works with all Fieldpiece meters that support temperature measurement and with any thermometer that accepts Type K thermocouples. The sensor is effectively insulated from ambient temperature, so the thermocouple reads true pipe temperature throughout the measurement. The large contact area and increased clamping force allow the sensor to reach the correct temperature in under 30 seconds. The jaw design, developed specifically for HVAC/R, allows pipe temperature to be measured at any angle — even flush against walls or other surfaces.
