Electronic refrigerant scales for accurate charging and recovery — for refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat-pump technicians working under F-Gas rules.

A refrigerant scale is an electronic load-cell platform you place the refrigerant cylinder on during charging or recovery. It lets you weigh in the exact charge (R32, R410A, R134a, R290 and others) per the manufacturer's data plate, monitor mass removed during recovery, and log quantities for F-Gas record-keeping. Programmable models dose automatically to a target weight and close a solenoid valve, preventing system overcharge.
When choosing, check capacity (typically 70–100 kg — a 10–12 kg cylinder of refrigerant plus tare), resolution and accuracy (ideally ±0.5% of reading or ±5 g), since these govern dose correctness on small splits. Verify operating temperature range, ingress protection for field use, display-lead length, battery power, and compatibility with flammable A2L/A3 refrigerants (charging models with a valve rated for R32/R290).
